Welcome to My Photography Journey!
Hello beautiful humans! I’m Cheyanne Walters, and I’m thrilled to share my photography journey with you on this new blog. My adventure with photography began in 2022, during a time when I truly recognized the importance of having a creative outlet in my life. As a full-time first responder, I’m exposed to the toughest situations day in and day out. While this work is incredibly rewarding, it can also be emotionally draining. I realized I desperately needed a way to express myself creatively—to find beauty, joy, and light amid life’s challenges.
From a young age, I’ve always had an obsession with capturing moments. I can still remember the excitement of using my first disposable camera—those thrilling clicks, the anticipation of waiting for my photos to be developed, and the magic of seeing those fleeting moments come to life on paper. Those experiences ignited my passion for photography and laid the foundation for my journey.
It wasn’t until I reached out to one of our amazing wedding photographers who associate shot our post covid reception in 2021 that things truly changed. I vividly recall how comfortable Kelsey made us feel on our special day, and her contagious energy brought so much joy. Inspired by that experience, I contacted her and asked if I could tag along for a session. Little did I know, that decision would transform my life. After my first session, I was hooked! The joy I felt while being behind the camera was undeniable, and I knew I had found my creative niche. Kelsey graciously took me under her wing and became my mentor and one of my dearest friends. I can’t thank her enough for sharing her knowledge and guiding me through the early stages of my photography journey. She helped me develop my skills and instilled in me the confidence I needed to become the artist I am today.

Fast forward to the following year, and I was shooting weddings and elopements alongside Kelsey. Each session was a new adventure, and my passion grew deeper. One of my favorite aspects of photography is capturing authentic moments—the love, the laughter, and the intricate details that make each occasion unique.

I specialize in weddings, elopements, and lifestyle/candid photography. My mission is to create timeless images that reflect the genuine love and connections between my clients. I strive to document each moment with authenticity, taking care to highlight each detail that tells your story.
